You can submit an application using the online form (www.philas-foundation.ch/application). Handwritten and e‑mail applications will not be examined. Please make sure that your application meets our funding criteria.
The Philas Foundation Board and Executive Board deliberate on the applications received and decide whether to accept or reject them based on the submitted documents, the funding criteria and the Foundation’s strategy.
It is important to us that the available resources are used in the best possible and most targeted way. Projects that require a significant level of funding are analysed together in order to identify which ones fully meet the funding criteria and the Foundation’s strategy.
Projects which do not meet our funding criteria will not receive funding from the Philas Foundation. You can find details of what we do and don’t support on the three funding area pages: health, education and social causes.
The time it takes to receive an answer regarding your application depends, among other things, on the amount of funding requested. The foundation regularly deliberates on projects with a funding amount of less than CHF 10,000 and decides whether to accept or reject them in a timely manner. For projects with a funding amount exceeding CHF 10,000, please observe the submission deadlines. At the end of the respective submission period, the Foundation Board will discuss the applications and you will receive an e‑mail or phone call from us.
No, there is no automatic right to receive support, even if your application meets our funding criteria.
The amount of funding allocated depends on a project’s financial needs and potential impact.
We only operate in Switzerland. We currently only support educational projects in the cantons of Nidwalden, Obwalden and Lucerne.
Feel free to e‑mail us if you have any questions that are not related to a funding application.
